`gtk-look.el`

gtk-look.el finds and displays HTML documentation for Gtk, Gnome and Glib functions and variables in Emacs, similar to what info-lookup-symbol does for info files (C-h C-i in Emacs 21, or C-h S in Emacs 22).

gtk-look.el is free software (free as in freedom), published under the terms of the GNU General Public License (v3 or up).

The documentation is expected to be devhelp indexes with HTML files, like the Debian packages libgtk2.0-doc etc. The location of the indexes can be customized. In addition to C code development gtk-look is good for

Gtk2-Perl, recognising class funcs like Gtk2::Label->new and bare method names like set_text.
Guile-Gnome, recognising methods like set-text and classes like <gtk-window>.
Guile-Gtk, recognising symbols like gtk-label-new.
