Math-Image displays some mathematical images using Gtk2-Perl or wxPerl, or writing to a PNG file or the root window. Read more in the online man page (27k, html).
Math-Image shows various paths (see Math-PlanePath) and various sets of numbers (see Math-NumSeq, plus some experimental extras). It's a touch rough, and not blindingly fast, but a fun way to have prime numbers as your root window background, or browse some sprial patterns.
Math-Image is free software (free as in freedom), published under the terms of the GNU General Public License (v3 or higher).
Download version 115 source here or
from CPAN, or a Debian
package here or from my repo. There's big set of
Perl module dependencies, set out in the Makefile.PL
in the usual
way. Perl 5.8.0 or higher is required (some of the non-Gtk parts might work
with less).
math-image-115.tar.gz
(278k, and sig)
math-image_115-0.1_all.deb
(181k, and sig)
The sig files are Gnu PG ascii armoured
signatures generated from my key. There's a
SIGNATURE
file inside the .tar.gz
for
cpansign
too.
The path code is in
Math-PlanePath
and see
the gallery there for some line
and pattern samples.
