`imagetext.el`

imagetext.el extends Emacs image-mode and auto-image-file-mode to show the text comments in PNG, JPEG, GIF and TIFF image files. Text is extracted using bindat.el for direct parsing of the bytes, so no external utilities are required. There's nothing to edit the text.

The sig is a Gnu PG ascii armoured signature generated from my key.

Notes: Happily eimp.el image manipulation package by Matthew Hodges still works with imagetext additions (because eimp uses the :data property of the image, not the buffer contents).
