`tty-format.el`

tty-format.el adds Emacs format-alist entries for two tty oriented text annotations,

ANSI SGR escape sequences "Esc [ ... m" for colours, bold, underline, etc.
Backspace bold "X backspace X", underline "_ backspace X", and overline "‾ backspace X" (unicode U+203E).

These sequences are turned into Emacs "face" text properties for viewing. The ANSI bits use the builtin ansi-color.el. There's no support for saving in either format, but because they're text properties you can copy to another formatted document which does allow saving, eg. enriched mode.

tty-format.el is free software (free as in freedom), published under the terms of the GNU General Public License (v3 or up).
